July 2004 Meeting

We held our July meeting on Sunday, July 19 2004, from 10AM - 2PM, at
the Stonegate Country Club in Davis. Approximately 30 people attended, including a dozen children.
It was a beautiful summer day, and the meeting was held outside on the partly shaded patio. Besides of playing with Lego, we also had a little BBQ. A number of new people came to this meeting, so hopefully our little club is expanding!

Charles Esseltine brought many of his microscale creations. Even those large spaceships are microscale - they are huge capital ships with tiny microscale fighters! He also had micro Star Wars ships, construction equipment, tanks, and cars, and a life size skull.
Roy brought his fire station, with the interior finally completed, and the ladder truck and ambulance to go with it. He also had a San Francisco street scene that is under construction.
Jason brought the beginnings of his latest mech, of which the legs and torso have been built. This mech incorporates the new rotating click hinges due to its large size.
A game of QuikWars was played, using our largest terrain layout to date. This time it was run by the young members of the club!
