October 2004 Meeting

Our October meeting was held the day before Halloween, Oct. 30th, at the Arden-Dimmick Library. We again had a few new members sign up. There was the usual building area, a small game of BrikWars, and two building contests. Members brought creations made from the 4101 designer set, as well as Halloween-themed creations. We also looked at the contents of the new 4562 Creator set, which contains 400 parts including 200 unusual ones. This set is a Walgreen's exclusive, where it is only $5.99 or 3/$11.98!

Our activities at the meeting included:
The usual building area with club brick. Our pile of Lego is growing!.
Parting out a few copies of set 4562, full of weird parts!
We had our Set 4101 building contest. There were a lot of entries, showing a broad range of possibilities with just the parts from this set. The winner of the contest was a new member, Jackson, who had an excellent lizard!
We also had a Halloween themed building contest. Entries varied from a scary train wreck, to a cemetery, pumpkins, and trick-or-treaters. Our winner was Alex for his very frightening trick-or-treaters.
We also had a game of BrikWars, checked out a few MOCs like Markham's support for a moonbase module, and a very old mid-1960's Lego baseplate still packaged.
